When I decided to start my own creative agency, I didn’t just want a name that sounded modern or catchy. I wanted something that meant something – a name that reflected where I come from and what I stand for.

My father is a Sanskrit reader. Growing up, I often heard him reading and explaining Sanskrit words to me. Their meanings always carried depth – short words, but with profound philosophies. During my years working in advertising agencies, while exploring ideas for my own brand, one thought stayed with me:

If I ever start something of my own, its name should come from Sanskrit.

Sanskrit is known as the mother of all languages. It carries the essence of ancient wisdom and the identity of India. Unfortunately, as time moves on, this beautiful language is slowly fading from everyday life.

To me, choosing a Sanskrit name was more than a branding decision – it was a way of paying tribute to our roots. It reminds me every day to stay proud of being Indian. And when people from across the world come across our name, they should instantly know – this is Made in India.

English is the international language of business and creativity. Sanskrit, on the other hand, connects us to our ancient roots.
So, I thought – why not blend both worlds?

A name that speaks the soul of India, yet connects globally.
A name that feels timeless, minimal, and meaningful.

That’s how Ekameva was born.

Ekameva is made up of two Sanskrit words – “Ekam” and “Eva”, meaning “The Unique One” or “The Only One.”

To me, this meaning felt perfect for a creative agency. Because whether it’s a design, a campaign, or a decision – in the end, there can be only one. The right one. The only one.

And that phrase – “The Only” – eventually became our tagline:

It’s simple, confident, and true to our philosophy:
You don’t need ten options. You just need the only idea that works.

Ekameva isn’t limited to one type of client. It’s for everyone – from startups finding their voice to premium brands refining their identity.
Our vision is to grow step by step and one day work with global brands.

No brand becomes world-famous overnight.
It takes patience, evolution, and the courage to stay unique – to be the only one in your space.

If you look up the founding date of Ekameva, you’ll see 2018.
But my connection with the name goes further back. Around 2013-14, I had even registered ekameva.com. At that time, I was still working in agencies and didn’t have a clear plan for my own firm. I eventually sold the domain through GoDaddy – something I still slightly regret.

But today, I proudly own ekameva.in. And honestly, it feels even more meaningful – because the .in stands for India. It perfectly fits our identity and what the brand represents.

Ekameva is still evolving – it has just opened its wings, ready to fly higher.

For me, Ekameva is more than just a name.
It’s a reminder that creativity should stay connected to culture.

And while I believe every country and language has its own beauty, being born in India gives us the chance to proudly represent ours.
If this story inspires even one new founder to explore their cultural roots while naming their brand, that would mean a lot.

As I said, no brand becomes worldwide overnight – but every great story begins with one name.

It might help another entrepreneur find their own “only” name.
